Plantenasiel Haarlem is run by a group of enthusiastic volunteers of different ages and backgrounds. Each volunteer has one primary location where they regularly help out on opening night. During our opening hours, we look after the plants in the shelter, receive and inspect donated plants and help interested visitors choose plants to adopt. We also manage this website and our social media accounts and answer messages with questions about plant care. Occasionally, we participate in events such as the spring market at Haarlemmer Kweektuin..
Would you like to join us? Send us an e-mail and tell us a few sentences about yourself and why you would like to join the Plantenasiel team. While Dutch proficiency is not a strict requirement, basic command of the language is very helpful as much of our internal communication and the contact with many visitors are in Dutch. 
Currently we have capacity for new team members for Wednesday evenings (7-9 pm) at our location De Baan, Nauwe Geldelozepad 17 in the Koninginnebuurt south of the city centre.
